Hi everyone! We are excited to bring you guys the link to our crowdfunding pre-launch page on MyMiniFactory.com! This link will net you several free STL files including the Type S cockpit and a relaxed pose of one of our five heroic crewmembers, Jade.
We are happy to announce that the production version of the iconic Type S Scout Ship from the Traveller RPG universe is almost complete! At 1:60 scale, it fits with our other ships scaled for 28mm miniatures, but can easily be rescalled larger or smaller thanks to the possibilities of 3D printing.
The Type S made its first appearance in the original Traveller RPG back in 1978, and has seen many iterations over the years. This Type S is based on the deck plans of the T5 version of the ship, with some adjustments to better fit the 3D space.
The Type S will be launched with a line of 3D printable Traveller miniatures in the first week of July on MyMiniFactory.com. The ship is 25 inches in length (634 mm) and weighs around 2 kilograms (4.5 lb.) and has been test printed on a Prusa Mk3 FDM printer at 150 microns.
For the month of March, we are offering a 20% discount off of all store items on My Mini Factory! Use the code: marchmadness to get 20% off at check out.
Does not include lighting kits or campaign manager items.
We would like to officially announce that we now have the license to produce ship designs from the Traveller RPG universe! In collaboration with Marc Miller of Far Future Enterprises, our next campaign will bring you two iconic Traveller starships to your tabletop in full 28mm scale glory!
We have hinted at this in our social media for a very long time, but we are currently in production now, starting with the Type S Scout Ship. This hopefully marks the beginning of a beautiful far future with 3D printable ships, ship minis, and 28mm miniatures of crew, aliens and other items to populate the thrid imperium.
Whilst procrastinating work on Starship V, I decided to revisit the good old shuttle Alpha. This was the very first ship in the fleet, and my design work has come a long way since then.
The simple version of the shuttle does not have the modifications for the interior. This is something I need to address, and also there is no version of the detail version of the shuttle with the landing gear retracted.
So what did I do? Ignore these issues and start detailing the interior! There is a lot of wasted space in the interior of the shuttle. Especially once the standard layout tiles are in place. While it seemed a good idea to have seating, showing the inside of the walls, it used up almost an inch of interior space by itself. So I will probably revisit the interior tiles as well.
In all, the planned changes include the following:
If I have time, I am also looking at:
The pledge manager for Starship IV is currently open on My Mini Factory. Unlike past pledge managers which used BackerKit, the MMF pledge manager allows you to redeem, upgrade and add to your pledge in real time, allowing direct download of your files.

This is the last chance to get all the Kickstarter bonus goodies in the stretch goals!
